As Jim C so rightly says, who?
Another more interested in social media and money today than someone who likes the position he plays in a team full of pals who he really gets on with and are more or less prepared to build the team around him AND earns a fuckload?
Fuck the little spineless idiot. Maybe some of you (who should know better) think we should take a chance on that cunt Ravel Morrison (who?) too?
Sometimes it is easy to see why foreign clubs are a bit leery about signing British players of a certain stamp? So few of them see an opportunity to learn how to be a better player in another league and rather see it as a chance to get a bigger car.

Lingard is another reason why we need to get rid of Moyes so we don’t chase after this prick all summer again like a love sick puppy

I don’t want him back - and never did before he joined Forest - but comparing him to Ravel Morrison is ridiculous. Lingard was brilliant for us, simple as that. His short spell with us was perfect, and that’s where it needs to stay.

He went to Forest for the cash and made no impact whatsoever.
Hopefully we stay well away.

Forget lingard he has no interest whatsoever in being a top level footballer now . We might as well bring in Dele Ali .

Perfect is a bit of a stretch, Pagey son? We were top 4, with CL qualification in our hands, and we blew it. He did a passable impression of the invisible man (like the rest of his career) for 5 or 6 games and then scored a couple in his last.
An average to shit footballer who has had one good 10-game spell in a 12-year career. Pleased those 10 games were with us, but he shouldn’t be anywhere near the conversations of any half decent football club.

Re: Lingard

Maybe, but he was great for us and had a dip in form at the end which was enough to convince us that it shouldn’t be made permanent. He was never going to keep up that level of performance.
People are just hurt because he chose Forest over us, which was his prerogative, and it was the right move In hindsight as he clearly hasn’t got the desire any more. That doesn’t erase the great spell he had for us though.

More delighted than hurt, Pagey son?
Mike SMALL had a little purple patch with us. Top scorer in the league at xmas iirc. Longer than Lingard's and scored more goals. He was shit as well.

Everyone makes mistakes in football ....
Lingard believed OGS when he said if he came back to Man U he'd be given opportunities Southgate didnt pick him for the Euros ... still say if Kane and Mount had been hooked for Antonio & Lingard after an hour of the final (& Rice kept on) England would have won West Ham should have given Lingard a week to commit to coming back but let it drag out for months Forest wasted £10m on him .... Cooper quickly realised he was done and sidelined him
Lingard is done. Needs to scoot off to the MLS & become a TikTok sensation for Beckham's team or Northern Solds favourites the Miami Benders

Yep, I’m with most fans on here - Jesse missed his chance with us, and there’s little point going back to him now.
Wrong side of 30 now, we know he demands wages he doesn’t merit, started to get niggling injuries etc.
As we know, when you strip away the nonsense, there’s a good player in there. Really enjoyed his loan spell. But there is also the nonsense. We offered him a way out twice before and he didn’t take it. His fault.
Move on.

His mistake wasn't going to Forest, it was going back to Manchester only to have his wave crash repeatedly against the bench.
He's done now and I will drive him to the airport for his MLS semi retirement myself.

Re: Lingard

Serious point: we’d look like a really weak football club if we went back to Lingard now, him having turned us down (effectively) twice.
Since his short spell here, we’ve been to a Europa Cup semi-final and now a UECL Final. He could have been part of that if he’d knuckled down and grafted as a permanent member of the playing staff. Instead, he stayed overly loyal to Man Utd when he should have left them, then he fucked us around over wages etc and joined Forest for cash.
In the meantime, his playing form has got worse.
You don’t go back to those players if you’re trying to go up a gear as a club.

Can see him going to the States, joining Burnley (or a newly promoted club) on a short-term contract or Rangers.
He’s in that phase of his career now.

Re: Lingard

Another serious point: we have to quickly decide, as a club, what we’re doing about the manager before making any transfer moves.
We’re at a crossroads. If Moyes is to leave, then the new manager needs to work closely with Noble etc in identifying the players he wants under a more progressive playing style.
If we stick with Moyes, then I’m afraid the lesson of this season is that we probably need to allow Moyes to sign “his” type of players. With the exception of Paqueta, the half-assed experiment this season with players who don’t fit Moyes’ mold hasn’t really worked (Scamacca, Emerson, Cornet (injuries, though). Square pegs in round holes.
The harsh reality is that our form has improved again since Moyes stopped trying to use players he doesn’t comprehend, and went back to having Antonio chase shadows into channels etc, Soucek running his legs off (off the ball: terrible innit).
Either we ditch Moyes and rethink the kind of players to bring in. Or, if people want to keep Moyes, then I’m afraid we probably have to back him to sign “his” players.
The halfway house was fucking awful.
I know what I’d do.
